have you ever seen a chicken strip
There are two kinds of people in this world.
Well think fast killer.
when you sat in a weird position for a long time and you move and then your foot feels like this
This is disturbingly accurate
Rocky may not be the most definitive figurehead when it comes to lyricism but the man can ride that d*mn flow. Representatives of the rap and hip-hop culture may be categorized into four different areas: lyricism, production, flow, and swagger/charisma - Rocky’s got three. (Some artists make career utilizing just one). But, let’s give the man some credit. He takes a different route with his lyrics - they are not meant to be the highlight of the music we are listening to. Rather, they are a component. He writes purposely and, most importantly, differently.
When I listen to Rocky I interpret his selective style as a means to lead us through this ethereal (most of the time) ride that he’s got planned out for us. And you know what? That is fine. In fact, it’s great.
Rocky knows what he is doing and he successfully paints his audience pictures. And, that is a characteristic that is defined under the category of lyricism - painting pictures. They don’t have to be complete stories (I am not suggesting that Rocky hasn’t done that and can’t do that). Images and pictures are fine. Again, it is just different.
And, If you really think that the man is quickly outmatched lyrically, listen to “Sour State Of Mind”?
